I have a 93 Vette with adjustable ride and have been very pleased with it. I bought a 2001 in December, also with adjustable ride. At first the ride was great but now it seems a lot more harsh even set at the max. I have never had any problem with the 93 but are these known to malfunction? I will take it in to the dealer as it is still under warranty but would appreciate any info in preparation for that. The dealer is probably going to say there is nothing wrong with it and I'm not sure how I can prove there is. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Re: Question on adjustable ride suspension..... (TheCoy)
F45 will ride hard and tend to bounce over bumps if the car is too low and the suspension stops are hitting,or if you have the orginal Goodyears tires they get harder with age as the heat/cooling cycles harden the sidewalls.
Re: Question on adjustable ride suspension..... (TheCoy)
I had a 93 roadster before my new 2002 coupe. The 93 had the standard suspension and my 02 has the F45 option. I find that the 02 rides much better in all F45 modes than my old 93. The C5's are so much stiffer in body structure that they feel tremendously better to me than the C4s. If you can feel differences in the settings on your C5, then I think its operating properly. Are you sure that your old 93 was working right and wasn't too "floaty"?

No, I could tell the difference in my 93 by the time I got out of the driveway. If it were on max stiffness I could tell and would immediately switch to Touring.
