Default TPMS question

I have C6 wheels without tire pressure sensors on my C5. Are there any tricks to making C6 sensors work in a C5? Or can I just install C6 sensors and be done with it?

No, you need to put C5 sensors in the C6 wheels and they'll work fine if you use the correct sensors for your model C5. You didn't say in the question what year you have so you'll have to determine if you have the 97-2000 or the 2001-04 type RFA and fobs. Just install the correct sensors and train them via the DIC. You can easily find the instructions to train by searching " C5 tpms training" or something similar on either the forum or Google. If you have the 99 listed in your profile, you'll need the older, more expensive sensors, or upgrade the entire system to the newer system. gmpartshouse.com sells all the parts needed to upgrade, but you have to do some wiring to use the RFA. You may just want to buy the correct sensors, but I think they are around 90 bucks apiece.

Sometimes you can luck out and find sensors on ebay at a good price. Just make sure they come with some kind of warranty so you don't get sold a bad one...
