I tried searching for this and found no answers. I'm having some issues w/ the lighting in my gauge cluster. The light doesn't seem even at all, like 1 or 2 bulbs burned out. I saw an extremely low mileage (2k miles) z06's cluster not to long ago and it had so much light compared to mine.
I've heard of people doing elctro-luminescence(spelling?) and Led's but i haven't seen any write ups on changing those bulbs or even how to access them. To me anything would be better even new stock bulbs. I just feel a little hesitant cracking it open w/out some type of guidance
So i'm looking for some type of answers. or part #'s for the bulbs/luminescent sheet/led's.
If anyone can help that would be great.
Also if you could post up some pictures if you have done this so i can see the results.
The background illumination is accomplished by two high voltage flourescent tubes on each side of the IPC. I've never heard of them failing however anything is possible with the high voltage supply...neither of which is available by itself.
