Lesson learned with open air element yesterday
If you are driving along and plastic shopping bag flies crosses you cars nose, make sue it comes out the back. One got under my car yesterday and got up into the filter and after about 5 minutes, the car started to die. No air!
Pulled over and took it out and back to full power:)

That make sense. I guess everybody tries to avoid that kind of stuff, but we can't alway miss those floaters. Also, in the fall leaves can collect in there and block air, causing your car to run warm.

:lol: True story! :lol: Every time I see a plastic bag (or paper) floating across in front of me, I scan the rearview to make sure it stayed on the road and not in my air intake. I've had to pull a couple of bags out in the past. :)

I check the rearview too. I had a plastic bag get sucked into the radiatior area and my temps went to 245, pulled over and removed bag and everything was fine.
