Default Tail lights not working, everything else Ok

My tail lights are out. When I have my headlights on or off, my blinkers (front and rear) work just fine. With my hazards on all lights are working properly EXCEPT FOR THE CENTER REAR LIGHT. No fast blinking like a bulb is out. Everything is great except for at night when my headlights are on, highs or lows, I need my tail lights to be on and they are all out. They light up INCLUDING THE CENTER, when I hit the brakes but other than that they are off while the headlights are on.

I have replaced the #6 & #8 mini fuses inside, but they were fine anyways.

When I turn on my hazards, the THE CENTER LIGHT IS OUT.
When I hit my brakes my center light as well as all of my rear brake lights come on as they should.

As always any help is much appreciated.

I'll venture the guess then that the headlamp switch needs to be fixed or replaced.

When the OEM flasher intermittently fails it does weird things with the brake lights also.

The center light does not work with either the turn signals or the 4-way flasher. That light works only with the brake lights. The wire for that circuit is tied to it's own switch near the brake light switch.

I would be looking at the headlamp switch as well as long as the fuses are OK as mentioned. Do the side marker lights in the rear work too?

The side marker lights are not working either.I was thinking that if I turned the TWILIGHT option on it would possibly bypass the headlamp switch however it did nothing to help the situation, same with twilight on or off. Rear tail lights just are not working.

Old thread, better to start a new one. That said, it sounds like your multifunction switch has worn out. Do your dash lights come on? I'm assuming everything works except the tail and side marker lights? Have you checked the bulbs??

Hi, I'll tell you, the dashboard lights work ok, the front parking lights work ok, the rear brake lights work ok, the signal and emergency lights work ok, only the rear and side rear parking lights don't work. What could be greetings.

Again, it sounds like a bad multifunction switch. I had to replace mine, and it fixed my left turn signal hyperflash, and also the tail lights. These original electronic parts are getting OLD.......
