hey guys, i know theres alot of threads about this, but i already tried one route by putting the rear 02 sensors in the front by splicing the connectors. I am still getting an error code of intermittent something or other. and the car is running pig rich. I know some sensors wont work because they wont get hot enough. sooo
All i want to know is if someone has long tube headers what 02 sensors did they use (part number preferred) and what kind of wire extension harness or what ever it took to work. thanks all!
I don't think you are supposed to splice the wires when you move the rears to the fronts. I thought you were supposed to use an adapter so everything fits correctly.
Splicing wires on 02 sensors can cause signal degradation and poor performance.
Here is a link to a thread on the subject. It has some places that sell the adapters.. LG and Racetronix are a couple of them.

ya, i know. but i was pressed for time, and the car has 80k on it with the stock o2's im sure so if it didnt work, (like it turned out not to) i was due for o2 sensors anyway.
is there a better 02 sensor to use? or one that will heat up correctly?

I thought that if you were only running two 02 sensors. You need the back ones, put in the front with the adapters. You can go to any parts store and get the part number.
Also another question guys, I have an air/fuel meter, and wanted to stick a wide band into one of the rear o2 holes. what is a good wideband o2 that will work? and how would I connect it up? I have the rear 02 deleted out from my tune, do i just plug it into the rear sensor plug and tap into the sensor lead? (purple wire) like normal
