I've used it and it works as far as allowing more timing allowed just like a high octane fuel would allow, however, it turned my exhaust tips, rear of the car, and my plugs all burnt orange and I hated that.

I am going with an aggressive tune this spring that will require Torco!
I did not know about the burnt orange side affects, is it hard to remove? How much did you add to a tank, I am planning on a 32oz. bottle for each tank. Does Torco change the smell of your exhaust? I'm taking my cats off as well.

I don't remember how hard it was to remove. I think I added a big bottle to each tank. I bought a case of 6, and ended up selling 4 here on the forum. I also don't remember the smell. Methanol injection is a far better option for me.
ZR1 runs on pump gas. Seems to me @600+hp and you don't need more than what comes out of the pump, your just throwing money away on octane booster.
The ZR1's stock hp is a helluva lot less hp than most of us run on here...and thats why it runs on pump gas just fine...
And since you have no idrea what kind of hp etc the OP has how can you make a statement he is just throwing away money on octane booster?
I used Torco for 10K miles and it worked just fine and I was able to boost my timing up 4 degrees using 2oz per gallon. The red residue didnt seem to hurt anything. Then on new motor I began using Klotz and it worked just fine as well. Now I use E85 and dont need octane booster any longer and love it.

I ACTUALLY READ his profile to see what his car had. You running over 600hp???

The color comes from the additave MMT (Methylcyclopentadienyl manganese tricarbonyl) which is what raises the octane. It has been around for years. Moroso octane booster that I used years ago turned the valves and exh orange.
Here is a link to the Torco MSDS. It shows the ingredients.

Ummm yea I passed 600 rwhp a long time ago, then 700, then...... I'm on E85 and 15 psi and people tell me my car smells like buttered popcorn blowing out the exhaust....
The reason I asked about the Torco additives is the engine I now have in my 2001 Vette has around 12.8:1 compression ratio. So pump gas won't do for me. 100 octane unleaded is $9.00 a gallon where I live.
