A4 converter lock up issue
I have a 98 C5. Transmission would not shift at full throttle and would bounce of the limiter until i lifted off the throttle. Trans would slip a bit when shifting. I dropped the pan, fluid was dark, so i changed what fluid came out of the pan and changed the filter. I cleared the computer.
Transmission now shifts fine, does not bounce of the limiter on the 2-3 shift anymore but the converter will engage and disengage multiple times between 60-75mph. Stock stall, no tune car is bone stock. Any ideas? Trans fluid level is fine. Should i try a full flush of the trans or is this a issue with the valve body? Any help is really appreciated. If it needs a rebuild then it needs a rebuild, but if its something that i can fix with out rebuilding ill try it.
