Default A call for disassembly/assembly pics

If you have any pics and/or videos of you removing your engine, transmission, torque tube, etc (major parts) and the pics could be used in an educational manner or aid somebody else in doing so, please send them to me, or msg me and I'll work with you on getting the media to me via email, ftp, etc.

I'm doing major surgery to my ride before spring, time permitting, and will be assembling all of the work I've done into a single source, semi logically organized. With so many people already willing to carve up and/or modify their C5's, and them becoming so cheap, I'd imagine there's going to be a resurgence of the same old questions, and a lot less answers with the "been there, done that, but they've moved onto c6 and c7's" type of things. So, before you guys go, or as you do this, please send me copies

A lot of this stuff is already available on the forum, you just have to "search" for it. Try looking up cajundude where some of the procedures are documented. There is a tutorial by 'Dope' on this site about doing a clutch job at home on jackstands without a lift. This has been my manual for me to do my own clutch job at home. There was also another thread which showed me how to disassemble the torque tube for maintenance and inspection.

i'll look for those specifically. after ~30 minutes of "this image is no longer available" and dead links, i thought i'd throw out a fresh call. i'm an engineer by trade, and my personal hosting server will live longer than me, so i thought i'd put it all in one location thats not one of the public hosting sites.

thanks, will check for those guys.

yes but there is a big difference in the service manual and actually doing the job. the service manual calls for specific tools that are not always available to the average person.
