Still looking around a clue. yesterday I took off the MAF and cleaned it
with maf cleaner. I noticed the front of the screen was slightly scufed
up. I guess one time I pushed the varamm air bridge down over it. it
is not bad you can see through it and it is not bent at all just the gray finish is rubbed off. what do you think? could this be the problem. also

P0171 usually indicates a lean condition on the left side. My car has LT headers so it's hard on O2 sensors. When I get this same code, it's usually the left front O2. Hope this helps.

I charged up the battery , cleared the codes started it up , no CEL
I bet it will come back. I'll wait for the snow to clear and take it out and see. are the o2 sensors hard to change? thanks again Jim.
