Like most I want to upgrade my stock headlights. I have bought the ACA projector headlights and now considering the conversion to HID low beams after researching numerous threads on the subject. My question is, are the kits you see on the auction site any good or are they not quality pieces as they seem to be less than half the price of other kits from other vendors represented on the forum. I don't mind paying for quality and service but also don't want to overpay for something that is the same for less. Thanks in advance for any input.
Hi I've got aca lights installed and have purchased HIDs to fit in low beam 35W cost $49 will get round to fitting in the next couple of weeks the quality looks ok but you're right big variation in price bought mine from USA ebay even with shipping to the UK still cheaper than buying direct in the UK

Thanks for the response. Let me know how they work out and if they function properly. I have heard that the 35W version will cause the headlights not to go down, and that you will have to have the high beams on for the housing to go down or purchase a separate resistor to fool the system into thinking the Halogen 55W bulbs are still in place.
Thanks. I know he is. My question was if anyone had any experience with the other alternatives available and if they were even worth considering. Just trying to gather input to make an informed decision.

I just put mine in 2 weeks ago. I used a universal 35w H9 kit on from fleabay for $40 everything is working great. Use the extra wiring kit that came with the ACA kit and it will fix the problem of the headlights going up and down, also it will alow the lows to stay on with the high beams

Thanks for the information. Did you have any difficulty in aiming your high beams with the ACA housings?

I didnt have to aim my lows at all and the highs are connected to the to how you aim the lows. I don't even use the Highs, the HID lows paired with HID fogs proved to be great on unlit backroads.

Thanks. The fogs are my next lighting project. I did upgrade the bulbs to higher wattage but not to HID.
