Looking at replacing the stockers with the Bilsein HD's . $344 for all four. Anyone have anything to say about these???
I installed Bilsteen sports on my 01 vert, great shocks but pretty stiff, if I had a do over I'd get the HD's I don't track my car, if you do then get the sports,if not you'll like the HD's
I had the Bilsteins on my 95 C4 ( which I upgraded to a Z07)and I consider them better than any C6 Z06 shock. The Sports are stiff but to me that is the way a Corvette should drive but then again we have smooth roads here in Arizona and I am used to go-karts. I also owned Koni's and Bilstein is the best.
When my 2001 convertible needs shocks that is clearly the way I will go.
I'm using the bilstein HD , because they came with the car, not because I picked them out.
The previous owner had taken the car off the market for a while and a shop called the Corvette Guys selected them to correct a stiff ride.
The racer guy doing my recent alignment said those shocks would also be his first choice for a non-race set up. He said the select ride control was old tech, as I lamented the loss of the electro magnetic shocks and that the switch is now useless. ( I like all the switches to work.)
