(Update for Bill Curlee)Alternator question?
First, thank you for all your help. I found the problem. I asked the tec doing the work if he had checked the alt to sol big red wire for breaks and if the sol. terminal was loose. He said wire had a break in it and terminal was tight. Wrong. I checked, and the wire is good and the terminal nut was loose. There was signs of arcing and were chalkee colored. I cleaned all wire ends with sand paper and the sol bolt witha wire brush and put it back together. REMOVED that damn jumper wire, and connected the neg to battery. Started the car, and everything is good. The ECM was bad. It probably got a voltage spike and knocked it out.

Thanks again. Your the man. glassman74 Craig
PS I took that jumper wire back, and told the owner to shove it up the tec A$$. He told me the tec quit. Go figure.
