Ring and Pinion question.
I bought a set of new Motive Gear 3.90.1 for my C5, I was under the impression that the ring was 39 teeth and the pinion is 10 teeth, The gears I got are 11 teeth pinion and 43 ring, Anyone have input on my delema? I e-mailed Motive Gear, But I guess they are gone for the weekend.

If you do a lot of highway driving, 70mph+, you will most likely not like a 3.90 gear. But will be a lot of fun city driving!
I have a 3.42 and the rpms at 75-80mph are around 2400. Would not want them any higher!

Did you count the teef?
As was stated, a pinion wif 11 teef is more strongerer than a pinion wif 10 teef.
Now it's time to go brush my front toof for the week.......
So what is the cost for this work? Are you taking them a diff or the whole car?

All C5/C6 Corvette ring gears have 41 teeth.... except a 3.90 which have 43 as mentioned above.
16-41 = 2.56
15-41 = 2.73
14-41 = 2.93 (cadillac XLR)
13-41 = 3.15
12-41 = 3.42
11-41 = 3.73 (Motive)
11-43 = 3.90 (Motive)
10-41 = 4.10 (Motive)
16-41 = 2.56
15-41 = 2.73
14-41 = 2.93 (cadillac XLR)
13-41 = 3.15
