Im kind of new to the site. I do alot of research on here but this is my first post. I just recently purchased my second corvette. 98 c5 manual. Feels good to be back in the corvette community.
Im trying to find out if i have a titanium exhaust. I noticed that the tips were a little different than stock. I put a magnet on the right muffler and it didnt stick at all. On the left muffler it did stick in certain sections if i put the magnet on softly but barely. The pipes to and from dont hold the magnet at all and have a goldish type of sheen to them.
I didnt see any rust on the mufflers except on the seems where the pipes exit. Im not even sure if its actual rust oily dirt but its just on the seems.
Is there any way or any part numbers on the mufflers that can identify them as titanium?

C5 Z06 titanium catbacks have round tips as opposed to the stock oval... the stainless pipes and mufflers probably won't be magnetic so that's not an indicator of anything. the style of the two are the same on the outside.
