The passenger side window and door lock stopped working at the same time on my 2000 coupe. Whatever it is its a problem common to both functions.
I've checked grounds and fuses and wiring (to the extent possible). Is there a relay that controls both that might be bad? If so, where its it? Or is it the door control module? If so, where is that?
same thing happened to me in my 03 Z06, i had a break in the wire harness thats goes to the passenger door, so check the area were the harness goes from the body into the door, in the black rubber sleave. i pretty much grabbed the harness and moved it around and so power going in and out of the switchs, found the wire and repaired. Hope this helps
I'll look into that. But I have to say that sounds like a long shot. Since my passenger door has rarely been opened over the years the wiring would not have gotten much of a work out

Thanks in advance for your technical know-how.
yep I've replaced some relays and even just re soldered them use your search function and get a ton of info
I don't want to hi-jack your thread (well maybe I am? sorry but hope this can help both of us?) but yesteday I started having a simular problem. Went out to garage and with the key fob I unlocked the doors (I thought both doors), pulled handle on driver door and it opened and horn alarm went off!! I couldn't get it to turn off with fob and had to start car to get it to stop. I went thru this a couple times until I figured out the passenger door wasn't unlocking. More research reveals the driver door works as advertised but that you can use the fob, or the driver door control or the passenger door control and the power feature will lock the passenger door if it is unlocked but when you try to unlock you "hear the clic" in the passenger door (is that the solenoid/actuator cycling) but the tab you use to physically unlock the door dosen't move and the door remains locked. If you use the tab to physically lock or unlock the door that works fine so my issue seems to be in the power side of the door locking process only. Before I take door apart anyone have any insight at what might be the problem?
As suggested, I took another look at the door wiring. Looks fine. But given that others have had a problem with it I tested that theory by turning on the key, holding down the power window button on the passenger door and wiggling the wires.
Sure enough the window worked! Still works without wiggling. Not only that, the door lock also works. Not sure what the problem is but it is at least temporarily solved.
From some posts I'm getting the idea it is more likely a connector than the wiring itself. I'll look into that if the problem shows up again.
