Well I just pulled the trigger on some old edelbrock terminator (tsp CNC ported) heads ( 200 CC runners) and a 228 TSP cam 588/588 on 112. My car is a six speed with SLP longtubes, high flow cats, h pipe, z06 mufflers. I also have a vararam and 35 lb SVO injectors. (HP Tuners with custom operating system). I currently run a 100 wet shot on the side.
Any thoughts on this combo? I will be installing in a week. Just curious as to the power I might expect. I figure the small runner with smaller cam should retain good driveability and increase power without sacrificing much.
My goal is a driver that makes good power from 2500 to 6000.
I have basically the same set-up except no juice. My heads were massaged by Faermans and I have the 228r too. I feel the power really comes on strong at 3500, so much so it's very noticeble and surges with power as if you turned the power on with a switch. It's a driverable car around town but with serious attitude and it's gonna draw attention at any red light or parking lot when it's idling.
I don't know how much longer I'm gonna last around here, cause sooner or later they are gonna put me and my car down like rabid dogs. I'm very conscience about minding the speed limit and trying to lay low, but it's tuff and I fail every once in awhile. Since the dragstrip closed up last year it's been a dull life.
I haven't ran this car on a track, but have been numerous times on my bike pulling consistent low 10's at 134 mph. My feeling is my car would easily do mid 11's but I'm eagerly waiting for new management to reopen the track.
