I'll be picking up a c5z and plan on putting cutouts as soon as I get it. Just wondering though, do vettes with cutouts sound like open header f-bodies, or do they keep the vette sound but louder? Also where's the best place to put them? Thanks..
The only place I could fit mine was on the midpipes by the transmission.
It won't sound like open headers because you still have the cats and a few feet of pipe to go through, plus if you use the DMH low-pros then it's not a straight shot for the gases to go out. That and they're behind the x-pipe, which will make them sound better IMO.
I have them.pain in the ***.wouldnt close all the way then got car lowered and they got trashed from driveways and speed bumps.i would get headers or catback if i were u.i just bought headers and them fukrs are coming off..and they drone alot becouse its underneath car..vood luck
My low-pros don't scrape on anything and I did have one of the motors replaced under warranty. Aside from that, I haven't had any problems with them nor with the set I had on my GTO.
