Im not sure what is wrong with my car. I can crank the car and it runs fine. I just replaced the altenator. It had a few BCM codes it was throwing. I waited for the car to be off about an hour before checking anything. In the fuse box underneath the hood I had a bunch of fuses light up close to half of the small ones and all the larger fuses that are on the bottom. I found the list fuses 2, 3, 4, 7, 23, 47-53. They all are hot when the car is not running. I also noticed that on the end of the box there are 3 main power wires that are help down by a screw. One of the 3 is hot all the time. Im trying to figure out what I need to do to get it back to normal so the battery doesnt drain in like an hour. Thanks!
ok Its a 99 FRC, T56 trans. There a few codes being thrown only two showed current. All the codes are
PCM p1518h
TCS C1242HC, 1255, 1281 1286hc
BCM B0432H, o5o3h, o5o8h, 2587h, 2588h, 2592h,2593h
RFA U1255h, 1096 1064 1016
That is all the codes. I got a c next to all the one that showed up with a c as I think that means current.
Oh mods to the car are 243 heads, dynatech headers, fast intake, Vortech V2-t, Clutch 3+, Aluminum flywheel. I think thats all the major stuff. I just to get rid of the drain on the battery. It also seems to not be making much boost at all if any. Thats a different story though Im trying to fix that after this.
OK...here is a description of each code:
P1518 - PCM to TAC module serial data circuit
C1242 - BPMV motor ground circuit open
C1255 - EBTCM internal malfunction
C1281 - Steering sensor uncorrelated malfunction
C1286 - Steering sensor bias malfunction
B0432 - Rear defogger relay circuit
B0503 - RH DRL relay
B0508 - LH DRL relay
B2578 - RF turn signal monitor circuit
B2588 - column lock/unlock drive A
B2592 - column lock/unlock drive B
B2593 - column lock/unlock drive B
U1255 - serial data line malfunction
U1096 - loss of comm with IPC
U1064 - loss of comm with BCM
U1016 - loss of comm with PCM
The first thing I would do is clear ALL the codes and see which ones come back. The next thing I would do is CLEAN your grounds. Bill Curlee has a GREAT post on how to do this. Make sure to check all of the connections to ensure the tabs aren't deformed and have sufficient tension to make good contact.
Looking over your list of codes, I would suspect you have some kind of issue with the grounds. Also, check both of your ignition fuses under the passenger footwell. One of mine was loose and wreaked all kinds of havoc...similar to the symptoms you are describing.
The loss of comm codes could be due to disconnecting the battery...however, with U1255 being on that list, again...I go back to the grounds. Also check the star connectors when you check the ignition fuses. They are right next to the fuse box. Make sure all of your connections are tight and free of corrosion.
Once you have done all of that...check for codes and post the ones that came back. If you need circuit drawings or the DTC guides, let me know...I would be glad to share that info with you.
There are ALOT of very smart guys on this forum...I'm sure you'll find all the assistance you need to solve this problem.
I unhooked the negative cable and hooked a test light from the cable to the battery. It shows a slight drain and I think I narrowed it down to the fuse box under the passenger feet. I guess I just have to start pulling fuses until my test light goes off. And I will start trying to find and clean all the grounds. Thanks for the help so far!

Reason: forgot info
When all the systems finally power down, usually after about 10 minutes, there will still be a slight drain, like 20ma, which is what keeps the memory and PCM internal settings alive.
