Are there any advantages or disadvantages having the MAF and throttle body ported? What kind of hp gains, if any, can be expected or is it wasted mod money? Thanks for your input!
Hi!
I have that kind of setup, but i cant tell if it will make any big sotp difference...
My C5 is the first C5 i ever tried..... :(
I mesured my 1/4 mile and 0-60 times with a G-Tech, and i hope it´s in average a little bit faster than a stock C5.
0-60: 4,7 - 5,3 sec.
1/4 : 12.9 - 13,4 sec.
Results on the street with runflats and 98 octane pump gas.
In my opinion there really is no extra power to be found in the T-body or MAF for a mostly stock LS1/LS6 engine.
Some people have found a few hp/tq in a set of MAF ends if you go get your air/fuel mixtures dialed in perfectly with a MAF Translator and Autotap, but that is a lot of money to spend for only a few ponies if you don't already have these items.
