Default Help with Powerduct install please on 97

I bought this from Corvettes of Houston.

My question is, the directions say to drill an 11/16 hole for the MAT sensor. I can probably deal with this, anyone have any advice on drilling this carbon fiber laminent, especially with its rounded shape? It looks like I could really screw this up. I'm assuming that taping it up is the best bet? This is shown with the green arrow on the stock photo below. I have another question too, what about the little tube on the stock coupler that I have the yellow arrow pointing to? What do I do with this? The new coupler certainly won't accomodate this. Does it get plugged? It leads back to the top of the intake manifold.

Anyone got any advice?

One more question, the directions also indicate that some people relocate the MAT sensor. If so, where to?

I used a wood bit. A flat bit with a point on the end. I did not have any problem just take your time. On The small hose I just drilled a small hole and used a pointed punch to make the hole a little bigger to accept the plastic fitting. Hope this makes some kind of sense. Also I used some silicone grease to get the grommet into the air duct and on the coupler on the TB end mine was tight and very hard to get on. I also after many hours of fighting this thing that you have to remove the rubber boot between the MAF and the air duct to make the carbon fiber duct fit at least on my car I did. GOOD LUCK!!

To relocate the MAT sensor, drill your hole next to the MAF which is at the other end of your duct. The stock location for '01/'02 was moved up near the MAF on the driver's side. This is a cooler location for the mass air temperature sensor to read from and will also help provide additional HP. You may need to purchase a relocation kit which includes a longer cable, connector, and sensor. Be very careful removing the stock sensor. You can break it.
As far as the additional tube on the coupler goes, I don't know how to address that one. But, I wouldn't simply disconnect it.

Thanks to both of you for the advice. I am going to try this tomorrow. I'll report my results. I had every intention of doing this last night when I received it, but quickly found out that I might need to ask for advice.

I appreciate the offer for a picture. I would love to see it. I won't be attempting this job until tomorrow morning, so anytime today would be awesome!
