P0343 is for the camshaft position sensor (CMP) circuit. It sets when the CMP is sending a "high" signal instead of a "low" signal for 1.5 seconds. It could suggest that you have an open or short-to-ground condition in the circuit.
U1000 is a class 2 data link code that typically indicates that the recognition code of a particular module is not recognized by one or more of the other modules. Question: did you recently replace the RFA module,or another module?
Reset the codes, drive the car, and see if either of them come back. If P0343 comes back, you'll need to do some troubleshooting to see if it is a wiring issue or a bad sensor.
No replacements of any kind. Car has been perfect till now. I parked on a steep hill for about an hour yesterday seem to start then. Had trouble starting.

Also reset codes and 3rd start received engine light and same code?
I wouldn't worry about the communication code (U1000) right now. Most C5s have those and they don't mean anything other than there might have been a missed recognition signal on the data link. If you see a lot of them that is an indication of a voltage/ground issue but one doesn't necessarily mean much. It definitely will not highlight the area causing a slow start issue even if it did indicate a problem. Focus on the other code.
See attachment for diagnostic procedure.
If you don't have a scan tool then focus on the steps that don't require one or you can work around not having one.
Thanks guys. I will try DYI way first if no luck I will take it to someone. Should I park it or is it ok to drive? Only issue is starting sometime starts right up other time 3-4 try's.
Would the camshaft position sensor (CMP) circuit prevent from starting or make it hard to start? I did fill up at a shell yesterday normally only BP and I added a large bottle of Techron to fill up. Normally use small bottle. Could this have anything to do with it?
