windshield wipers stopped
so ive read up on the common windshield problems and they all have to do with electrical problems and them coming on and off. My windshield wipers were working perfect then one day it stopped. I can hear the motor working just fine when i turn on the wipers on but the wipers dont move almost like they fell off track. I havent taken anything apart because ive been busy but i was hoping to get some insight on this before i started taking things apart.

If you can hear the motor turning then it is something physical. Lift the plastic covers at the base of the arms and see if the nuts are tight. You can also look at other physical links to make sure that everything is as tight as it should be.

this happened on my 97. same thing I could hear the motor but nothing moved. I tore the thing apart and did everything I could to not spend any money but I had to replace the motor.

so I finally had time to look at the wipers. looks like the motor is working but it is not rotating. i couldnt get the wipers off. Im not sure if you twist the wipers off after you take off the nut or they just slide off. Im assuming mine might be rusted a little.

More than likely the clip came off the ball on the motor. Mine did this. I couldn't find the clip so I took some lacing wire and laced it back on. The clip I could not get at the parts store so I used the lacing wire and it does the same thing as the clip. Hope this helps.
