Search revealed only one comprehensive thread, but it was really a mixed review of the system by QA1. Realizing that they are less expensive than others on the market, which makes them somewhat attractive, is there any update to how they are performing from those who have installed them? Curious also as to the spring rates used front and rear and whether the single or dual adjustable system was used. I have updated my 2000 coupe to C5 Z51 springs, C6 Z06 shocks and sway bars, but was looking to lower the car (not drastically) and preserve some ride comfort. This is a daily driver that may see an occasional track day. Any input from those using the QA1 coil overs would be appreciated.

I had a set of QA1 shocks (stock leaf springs) and did not have very good results. In fact, I hated them. I had them rebuilt at least three times in 10,000 miles and the mounting holes were incorrect so they always rattled. I would not recommend them- especially if you plan to track the car.
Go with a set of Bilsteins and lower the car via the leaf srping bolts. This method works very well. Provided you don't slam it completely to the ground, ride quality will be just fine.
Call or email Anthony at LG. He designed a set for a friend on mine and they are spot on. Anthony took the time to ask how the car was goin to be used, track days, canyon runs, etc. He now has one of the best riding/handling Corvettes I have ridden in/driven.
The rear coil-overs are crap for a C5/C6. The upper bracket and bushing sucks and the things bottom outs with something like 1" between the fender lip and the top of the tire. I read something about QA1 changing the upper mount for the rears to a ball/socket thing, likely similar to what is used on the Pfadt coil-overs. If that is true, they might be on to something. Otherwise, I personally wouldn't bother.

Thanks for the input. I guess I will have to look into the LG's or Pfadt's if I want to go coil overs. Then again the combo I currently have is providing great handling for what I want and the cost to go to coil overs just to lower the car may not be justifiable. I will try lowering some on the stock bolts and if to harsh of a ride just raise it back up to stock.
