noisy C5 rear end
I have a 2005 C5 that I replaced the stock 3.42 rearend with one I purchased from a CF member back in 2009. He said it only had 1000miles on it, but it has whined since I installed it. It was built by DTE with 4.10 gears.
My question is, is there anyone in the Colorado Springs / Denver area that could replace the ring and pinion and set this rear end up properly for me?
Or should I send it to DTE and pay them another $1400 to go throught it, I hate shipping this because it will be $100 each way.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.....

I did but you never know. I also just changed out the Ams Oil synthetic for some regular 85/90 to see if that changed the noise.
I can't believe there isn't someone local that rebuilds these rear ends..
