Default Car makes noise after rain!

Whenever it rains, as soon as I turn on my car; my engine makes a winding noise like when the pullies need dressing. But, when I drive the car it performs normal and the noise disappears when engine is warmed up. Is this normal because of the rain? or should I address this matter?

I just bought the car 6 months ago, everyting seems to be in tact and working fine. The noise comes on when it rains, my belts look pretty new. No cracks or tears on the belt. The noise goes away once I warm up the motor though.

subscribed. Mine does this too. Definitely sounds pulley related. Could the tensioner need adjusting?

Not sure but I notice this issue whenever it rains. It goes away after you drive though. Maybe it's normal?

It can be tensioner pulley/idler pulley related. More likely though, you just need new belts.

New gator back belt

New tensioner
New idler pulley

Mine will squeal a bit in heavy rain

Used to squeal on cold startup, gator back solved that

I'm unsure what else I could address:maybe the balancer or something
But, I would be curious what else to look at. All that is left used on my system is the balancer and alternator, which tested good

The rubber compound on the ribbing has probably become dried or glazed.
