New C5 owner needing help
Just got my first Vette. Had it overnight in the garage with temperatures dropping into the high 20's. My wife walked into the garage early am and the horn started blasting on the car for no apparent reason. Scared the hell out of her. She got me after running in and trying the key to no avail. I ended up unhooking the battery to shut if off before my neighbors killed me. I later found the relay for the headlights had yellow tape on it from a previous owner, so I'm assuming it has been a problem in the past as well. Any ideas on what to check or replace? Thanks

Haha, my first question was what she did to it too! It wasn't the alarm system, as it was a steady wail of the horn ( no beeping) and no lights flashing or anything else. Thought maybe the cold temps may have drained down the battery and caused it to kick off. The dealer put in a new battery when I bought it and seemed to be charging ok. Saw the tape on the relay (assuming to quickly id the right one) and thought this may have been an ealrier problem and wondered if anyone else has had these issues?
