FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT HAVE PAINTED THEIR CALIPERS W/FOLIA-TEC. INSTRUCTIONS CALL FOR MIXING THE HARDNER WITH THE PAINT. SAYS ONLY MIX ENOUGH TO DO ONE CALIPER AT A TIME, I GUESS. HOW MUCH DID YOU MIX TOGETHER OR DID YOU DO ALL OF THE CALIPERS AT ONCE.
NEED HELP FAST, CAR IS UP ON JACK STANDS NOW......THANKS
I mixed the whole batch up and was able to get 4 coats on my calipers without any difficulty. I just wish I had known how much was going to left over. There was enough to do another car. That stuff dries like porcelain.
I mixed about 1/3 of each liquid at a time. Each batch was enough to apply 1 thin coat to all 4 calipers. I let each coat dry about 8 hours before mixing up the next batch. E-mail me and I'll send you pics.

Here is the trick: Go to WalMart and pick up a set of jars for making jelly or jam. You will need 8 small jars. Pour the paint with equal amounts into 4 of the jars. That way, you can evenly divide the paint for 4 calipers. Next, pour the hardener into the next 4 jars. This method removes the time constraint, because the paint will harden before you can paint (properly) all for calipers. Mix as required, pour the hardener from one jar into the paint jar. Mix thoroughly. Further, I recommend that you clean your calipers one day and then rest, and paint the next. I purchased 3 small brushes, max 1/2 inch. Clean your calipers thoroughly with soap, a good stiff brush, and water. Use good lighting. Paint right over the Corvette logo. Once it dries, you can remove it with your finger nail. Do not use a Dremel tool or file, not necessary and will mar the finish. If you separate your paint, there is plenty and it will not harden on you. I hope this helps!
I did the rears first, then the fronts some time later... b/c I only had 2 jack stands. You can mix it all together, but it will be a brick after a while when kept still. I mixed a small amount in a plastic ketup cup from Andy's (a local hamburger joint), it was they only thing small I could think of to use. It was enough to do the rears 2 thich coats and still had some left. There is enough caliper paint to do 2-3 cars that can.
It seemed to keep say 4-5 hours easy, but overnight it turns into a brick.
