Speedmon, it just hit 55,000 miles on it. As far as speeding, I had one ticket in my life (stupid mistake they threw out) and dont drive fast. I agree with you as 0-100 is all I need. Ok Maybe 0-130! If I can upgrade for 900.00 more dollars for the rear end, its getting done! And since we are in the back of the car with the rest of it, I will check first thing in the am on this as you sold me. Thanks for the advice you are giving me, I appreciate it.

Well, we shall see as if its 900.00 or less then I will throw in the gears. Once this is done in about two weeks I will take it to the local track and run it a couple times as I never did that before but what the heck! Thanks, M

How many miles on your 99?

Have fun......
Both good ideas, you can also look inside your glove box and if you have 2.73 the code would be GU2. I can't recall the code for 3.15's.

Thanks alj, I just looked at the codes on a page and you are right. GU2 is 2.73, GU6 is 3.42 and G90 is a 3.15. Bottom line is this would be an upgrade that I never thought of that would give me some great bang for the bucks. Thanks again all as today the cover comes off and she starts her 2nd phase. Once I am done in two weeks I will let you all know how she did hp wise and run a quarter a few times to see.

The code for 3.15 is G92. But you have to assume the gears were not changed by a prior owner.

I have the G-90, so I assume they are 3.15's? Car went into the shop this afternoon so we are thinking around 385 for hp, we shall see. Thanks all as I will let you all know how it works out. We are going to stay wth the stock rear for now and the only work outside of the engine will be a 3600 Yank converter with cooler.
