Default SS braided brake lines.

Just put these on yesterday (Goodridge brand) and I've never done this before. Installation instructions assumed a LOT from the installer, so I just did the best I could. But I'm looking at pics I took and those clips holding the junction of the braided line with the steel line in the bracket on the frame just don't look right to me. Did I put them in upside down?

I tried them that way but they just didn't seem to want to snap into place the other way around.

That is correct. Isn't that how they came off?

Goodridge sent new clips in the package. The original ones are completely different and are actually folded over with two sections to them that go onto that brake line fitting.

I guess it couldn't hurt things either way, but if I'm going to do something, might as well try to do it right.

Thanks.

^ This is upside down, your supposed to be able to remove them by grabbing and pulling with a pair of pliers.

Well, that is half right, I think. The rear brake lines have the clips below the bracket, but the front brake lines (which is one of the ones pictured) have the clips on the top. At least that is the case on my car.

Yeah, that's what I thought when I was trying to install them, but they just didn't want to go on at all. I was kind of leery about whacking them with a hammer.....

Funny I just went through this today. I already had stainless lines on the front when I got the car, and the installer put the clips on wrong, sandwiching the bracket between the clip. This allows the hard line to wiggle up and down, which is really bad. However you get it on, make sure the hard line can't move.
