Power chip? I'm skeptical...
Here is a link that I found as a banner to my gmail account this morning.
http://www.gfchips.com/chevroletcorvette.aspx
It claims to add 60 hp and 7 mpg increase.

For sure, all manufacturers de-tune their engines to be 50-60hp below their real potential. 350hp for the base C5 sounds so much better than 400hp...
Best part is that it's just a 0.5 cent resistor.

For those only who don't already know, there is no power chip for our cars. Ours are programmed via the PCM and software. If you dare to purchase one of these power chips, you are throwing your money away...

You shouldn't be skeptical, you should be laughing out loud.

I figured it would be a gimmick... However, I thought I would ask.
I know that adding a different intake, exhaust, and a few other relatively cheaper fixes will boost hp, but I hadn't ever heard of a chip add that much hp without being several hundred dollars.

I put a chip in mine back in 2001 and didn't see any gain at all.

That "chip" in yours changed your drag coefficient and actually slowed you down!
