replacing parking brake cable
I posted a while back that something snapped in my parking brake mechanism, I think its the rear half of the driver's side cable. my passenger's side parking brake still works. but I had the wheels off the ground this weekend and confirmed that the driver's side is not working anymore. the cable feels like it has slack even when the brake is applied. since the passenger's brake is fine the front section of the cable must be ok. Has anyone tried this replacement before? procedure doesn't look too bad in the shop manual but looking for input or any extra tricks from anyone who has taken on this project before.

Tip #1 Do NOT buy Raybestos rear cables. They don't fit at either end.
You get them and they are a great looking cable , but the cable itself is too thick to fit the slots up front and the rear stop is too large also.
