yes, I have used the search and read the posts, however I was hoping that I might get some input from someone new, or maybe some fresher information. All the same... thanks for your help.
More importantly is installing one in a C5 that is prior to 2003. There is a huge difference. My 2002 doesn't have a Band button, so some of the plug in solutions don't work. I figure without the CD changer, there's no way to access the three wires everybody is posting about.
That being said....What the hell is the AUX button for?

It works very well, although the only control you have from your factory radio is volume. Changing song or going through playlists is still done through the phone. I think there are plug in adapters you can get for like $100, but i liked the $5 cost of this method. Not sure if the plug in adapters give you any more control though; all the once I have seen appear to only be stereo jacks which doesn't transfer the control like the usb cable.
