After CLB, another dreaded service column and pull key problem...solution with relay?
I finally got the stupid pull key and service column messages and fuel cutoff at 2 mph.
Pulling Key and waiting does nothing to fix the situation of course.

I have a 6spd manual 2000.
However, steering has never locked, nor do I hear any kind of actuator.
Went through and cleared all the codes on the dash.
Put in my ODBII scanner, no codes.
Battery several years old, but reading at 13.8 V on dash without engine on.
Pulled the knee board and I don't see a K harness.
So I bought and plugged in a CLB, pulled fuses 25 and 29 waited a minute, still getting the pull key and service column warnings.

Clean ignition and keys with carb cleaner, switched key, pulled 25 and 29 again, still getting both warnings.
I checked the relays near the BCM.
The one on the right has a huge purple wire on it, but no orange. O have read that if there is purple there, it has been added by the dealer as part of the recall.
The one on the left has the two orange wires and a white wire.
I have read to jump the orange and white 30 and 87, but the relay on the right has no orange wires.
I tried jumping the left relays anyways, # 30 and 87 orange and white but it did not fix anything.
I pulled fuse #9 along with 25 and 29, and swapped the relays since they look to be the same, having both 87 and 30 marked pins.
Now the problem is fixed....so far!
Have had 3 good start ups since....

Guess the BCL will be prophylaxis for any probs that might develop in the future, though it never locked on me.
Anyways, time to price a relay from Chevy.
