I was changing out my outside air temp sensor and noticed a hole in my radiator probably 3" above the drain petcock. It looks like it has threads as if its a bung for something. As far as I know I'm not losing coolant. Is this normal?
I was thinking that myself. My car is a manual, so it won't have the cooler.. but would this be capped, or is it a separate system inside the same radiator?

Well,......actually you DO "have the cooler", it's just not hooked up.
Separate passageways inside. Same radiator for both cars.
If you are not the original owner it may be a PO had the radiator replaced and they used a radiator from an automatic since it was available and a radiator for a manual wasn't available. I notice the lower radiator hose isn't stock so there has been some work done in the area.

Considering the rest of the things I've had to fix due to the previous owner, my first guess is they purposely put an automatic radiator in just to do the wrong thing.
Either way, as long as it isn't a missing plug or piece. Thanks everyone.

I considered that as well so out of curiosity I checked. Same GM part number for both cars. I haven't had a stock radiator for a couple years now, but it seems like I recall seeing the same thing on my MM6 car as well.
I agree with you Bill. That area does look rather clean, etc.
