Vette Doctors Adds HP to My Vert
Picked up my Vert from the Vette Doctors today. They installed heads, cam, new timing chain w/sprockets, Z06 intake and 2002 Z06 clutch w/new throwout bearing and tuning. The car is perfect. No issues, just a fast and more fun to drive machine. Every detail was addressed and of course no codes. I stressed drivability and it drives like stock, even in that New York traffic. Water and oil temps run about 10 degrees cooler after LS1 edit.
The new HP now adds up to about 400 rwhp. More is always possible but I did not want a car shaking cam. 70 new hp is just what my Vert needed. Above 3,500 rpm, the car is very strong when compared to pre surgery. Hard to stay out of the throttle. Dennis and Carmen, as most know here are very honest and straight forward. Congratulations. Glad Carmen and Dennis met your needs.
Did they talk to you about bracket racing in Englishtown? Unless you have a rollbar or a hard top it would be tough for you to race with is as Convertible as soft tops cannot dial less than 14.00.
However it would be good for you to come hang out with us. Carmen and Dennis usually come with 10 or 15 cars.

Will the vette doctors do things like change the calipers, and put new headlights in? Minor MODS that I don't know how to do, but I want experts to do. I'm not handy with cars, but there are some MODS I want installed. Doesn't seem like there are any good places in Westchester NY. :chevy

Prior to starting their own business in the early 90's, both Carmen and Dennis were the top Corvette Mechanics at Ramp Chevrolet for years. They are a full srvice shop.
The great thing about the Doctors are they are GM certified mechanics. which means they are a GM authorized Warranttee shop!!!
They have handled all my misc Corvette work including that pesky side view mirror spring issue. The paint work on the new mirror was awesome.

EMDExpress, It sounds like you found a happy medium between performance and streetability, could you tell us your cams specs.

Carmen and Dennis have always taken really good care of me. I've made the trip up from KY twice to have them mod my car, so that says something right there. You made a good choice in tuners!

nice numbers. They do a great job over there. I love it that I can get in my car and drive about 5 maybe 6 miles and have good professional work done to my car. :cheers:

I guess you can say I am addicted to speed :)! Over the past seven months it has been there 3 times 1st to get the 382 installed and my old motor taken out, second to have them fabricate the 6 point roll bar and install it and this last time to have the tranny fixed, install the hardened rear input shaft and make some enhancements to the 382.
I travel a lot for business so it is hard for me to pick the car up. Usually when I do get around to bring it out to them I can not get back to pick it up for about 4 or 5 weeks due to my crazy work schedule. I do not mind since The Vette Doctors have a large shop and store all theit customer's cars inside. Plus, I am in good hands when I leave my baby there! :D

Gotta love an A4 convertible that idles at 800 RPM, is reliable, passes emmissions inspection, and runs 12 second quarters at 116+ on street tires, dynoes consistently at 400 RWHP and 410 RWTQ, all with an upper end package only with looks to kill! Also Vette Doctors will install taillights, hard wire radar detectors and do whatever else you need them to. They are #1 in my book. Kudos to Carmen, Dennis Russ and Joey..... :chevy

Where'd you get those AWESOME BPP flush headlights??!! What did your head/cam combo set you back @ Vette Doctors? I'm thinking about an ATI later this year, but it sure sounds like you're putting out some good power (emissions legally).
