isimple install not so simple?

Having problems installing the isimple iphone kit. Disconnected CD Changer, plugged in correct wire harness to the wire harness in trunk tightly. Set tabs number 3 and 8 to the on position. Stock radio does not recognize any thing on the other end. I did get it to recognize once but then the radio read out "err" and self switched back to FM. Yes, there is power, Yes the tabs are correct, yes the connections are tight. Any helpful suggestions on how I can remedy this situation and make it work? Its a 98 Convertible base vette. Thanks...

Had the same problem, tech support had me turn on switch #1, problem solved, so 1,3,8 are now on.
