damper install Q

once the two step process is completed does the damper sit flush with the crank shaft .
or does the 2.40 mm gap still remain .

After I checked the gap I took a 3/4" steel ruler and laid it in the belt track up to the other tracks to make sure they were aligned.

I measured .130-.140" from the face of the balancer (where the bolt flange hits) to the crank.
These balancers pull on pretty easy, there should be no way it would not seat on the crank gear with 250ft lbs applied to the bolt.
