I see that they only see the arm. I cleaned them all and blew out air so hard in fact it blew out the pieces, i soaked them in boiling hot water, and soaked them in vinegar and still only 1 sprays right nothing changed. I moved the good one to the other arm and it sprays good on taht so i know its the other ones. Any other suggestions? I cant see paying 100 bucks for 2 new wiper arms when all i need is these chinsy nozzles, why woudlnt they sell them seperate. Suggestions welcome?
I found this from an old post back in 2009. People said they tried the same cleaning methods as you without success, and this one did the trick. It's worth a shot...
I noticed lately my lower passenger side nozzle was not spraying any fluid on the windshield. Upon inspection I discovered that it was clogged. So I removed all four nozzles and did the following:
Windshield Washer Nozzle Cleaning:
Place washer nozzles in an 8 ounce tumbler (glass)
Add ¾ of a glass of hot tap water
Put in microwave for 50 seconds
Carefully remove the tumbler and pour out water
Allow the nozzles to cool
DO NOT POUR COLD WATER ON THE NOZZELS
Then I reattached the nozzles and they worked great.
BTW you can use compressed air after the cleaning BUT the nozzle contains a cartridge inside that acts as a restrictor and with enough air it WILL go flying.
I tried that method and didnt do anything. I held the nozzle up to a light and could barely see any light coming though. So i grabbed a small paperclip and went back and forth and now theres a clear hole with light coming through. Im going to try that after work and report the results. Fingers crossed i dont want to buy 80 bucks for a 10 cent piece, ive seen them apart and cant see how they could ever break or not work but we'll see if this fixes it.
