Can anyone help me out .i just bought a 2002 z with 19,000 miles on it and the drivers door lock is not working with key pod or door switch control.anyone have a good idea what's going on,passenger door works!
Does it make any noise at all? Open the door up to see if everything is connected properly. Also, look at the power door lock mechanism to make sure that it is ok. See if it is damaged physically. You may have to remove it to test it to make sure it is doing what it should be doing and not jammed up.
It looks like its trying to move but it's not moving far enough to lock it or unlock. It's like it is almost getting stuck or it does not enough power to move it.Is it hard to take the door panel off?

i talked to a corvette mechanic at chev dealer and he said need to replace door module 400 bucks.
Get a second opinion from a non-dealer Corvette guy. Switch the left and right modules for troubleshooting before you spend $400. As always, your opinion may vary.
This is a great tip. I did this two weeeks ago and all that needed replacing was a $1.33 relay in my rdcm. This only takes about a hour to fix. If you need a relay, I have extras for free, plus shipping USPS. PM me if you want a couple or any info on this easy repair.

After replacing the relay in mine it still didn't work. Bought a used switch assembly and the it worked. But the color was off, so I ended up taking mine carefully apart and found a small open spot on the board in the circuit for the lock switch. I soldered a bridge across the bad spot and problem solved.
Have a similar problem with my passenger door lock, 03 Z.
Doesn't always unlock, just sometimes tries but not complete.
Plan to take it out and send it to absfixer. Saw that he advertises fixing these too.
Look on the tech forum for door panel removal. It is very easy. The control rod may be hanginig up. The expensive relay last resort. IF YOU NEED A STEP BY STEP PM ME
