Default Cam Issue

Hey,

I have a 01 z with the TR rapTR cam, trickflow heads, lg longtubes w/ off/r x, slps, dual air intake.

My problem is when i leave from a stop light or any dead stop the car just is boggish and does not want to go until around 3000rpms and anything before that just feels like the car falls on its face and does not want to go. I just got back the car today after installing the new heads and clutch and even breaking the car in i can still fell the hesitation so its still there. Im wondering is this something that a tune can take care of or the simple issue of running the stock 3.42 gears in such a big cam. Sorry if this dumb question tho lol.

A tune or lack of can make any cam feel like that. If it were me, I'd stop driving it and take it to get tuned right. Breaking in a clutch is hell w/ no drivability. At the worst, the tuner can confirm whether it's performance is really how it should be.

It's because your air / fuel ratio isn't right and that's something that is done with a tune, I suggest a dyno tune.

It was ok they tuned it out but theres still some hesitation in the lower gear since this big of a cam they require 4.10s im told. Im ordering a new cam tomm just for personal preference but this cam pulls hard on top end and has great drivability for this size cam
