New Tires Experience
Its been awhile since I've been on this forum. The last time I was on I was talking on selling my 2001 Navy Blue Corvette Coupe. Well, that was sold and I inherited my dad's 2003 50th Anniversary Corvette Coupe.
With 26,500 miles on the Vette, it was time for new tires. I searched and searched to determine which tires would fit in a budget and still provide good performance. I decided that run-flats were not the way I wanted to go, mostly for the price. Secondly, I read the the car would ride better with non-run-flats.
This Monday, I decided to purchase the Nitto NT555 Extreme tires; and today I could not be happier with the decision. I bought a tire plug kit and air compressor to hopefully compensate for the non-run-flat tires. (I believe that is what Z06 have./?) Everyone who says the non-run-flats would be smoother and quieter were right. I was expecting a difference, but I did not expect the difference to be so extreme.
I know there are quite a few threads talking about tires, however I need to share my experience with you.
