Default GM EOS compatible with synthetic....

Hi....I'm getting the "oil change due" message on the DIC. Can I add GM Engine oil supplement to the synthetic fluid I'm running for a couple of hundred miles to clean up the combustion surfaces, or am I wasting my time/money?

TIA

GM OES goes in the oil for increasing the ZDDP amount...and that GM OES is a pretty well balanced formula that works with "synthetic" lubs as well.

OES doesn't act on combustion surfaces.

"oil change due" means...

Yeah....I know what you mean. But, on my 70 LT1, I used to run it for 3-400 miles just before I changed the conventional oil. It (EOS) is a great additive for sure, I used it as assembly lube building engines.
I thought I would put the question out there to see what answers came.....I didn't know if there would be a problem adding it to synthetic oil....

Thanks for the input

well the additional ZDDP will clog your cats. so that is something to consider.

Well, the additional ZDDP can multiply your engine life by a nice amount...

Never thought of that....But wouldn't that be,"if" the engine was burning oil...?
