Default Locks

Washing the car today and noticed after when I hit the unlock on the key fob or on the door switches my driver door will lock but not unlock. The passanger door works fine.

Other then wire between door and dash any idea what could be the cause?

Bad relay inside the left door control module behind the door panel. One relay for lock, one for unlock. If you are handy with a solder gun, you can buy the relay and replace just the defective one. A search (use google and refer to "forum" and "door control module" and you can find a tutorial with pictures and description of which relay controls the unlock.

Thanks for the info. Will look into it, suck if I got the relay wet and shorted it. Either I am lazy or its just a pain to tear the door apart.

Unless water was dripping down the inside of the window edge, water should not have gotten into the LDCM but won't say that it can't happen. Yes, you probably have a bad relay in there. Look for water in other areas such as the passenger floorboard and under the driver's seat.
