Don't have a lot of experience with the Vette seats as I just got my 98 coupe last October. However, I have noticed on mine that somehow the seat back tilt lever (on the back of the seat at the top) had been used and the seat back wasn't put back into its proper position. While like this, none of my seat controls worked. I couldn't raise/lower or move the seat forward/backward. After finally tripping the lever and leaning the back forward, then putting it back to normal position, all the controls started working again. Worth a try.
