V1, Ashtray Install, How to??
I've read the excellent posts about how to do the V1 install, but can not find a similar "how to" post for the install of the concealed display into the ashtray.
Can anyone help point to a how-to for this?

are you sure you want the remote display installed in the ashtray compartment? I installed mine just in front of the DIC to allow a more casual and a more visible location to the driver. The angle of view does not interfere tremendously with messages appearing on the DIC and allows almost constant viewing of the visual alerts of the remote display device. With the remote in front of the DIC, I do not use the audible alarms at all and have had good results. I would think that an ashtray location would not be in your immediate field of view and would offset the advantage of the remote display. Your choice of course.
