I joke a lot, but if I can give back 1% of what I have learned here, I'm tickled.
My first Vette, my first Ls engine, and I have taken this thing way further apart that I would have ever thought. Having a blast too!

I know right? I remember when I first bought my car, it was my 2nd LS car, I was like "I am just gonna do boltons and call it a day". Yeah I went full h/c/i LOL. Now I have it torn apart again just to chase a ticking noise. I am getting good at tearing it apart though...I had the heads off in 1.5 hrs and the cam out in about 2.
I kinda wish I stayed stock since it is way less hassle...well not really
If I had to do it again, I would have just done an ls6 top end with the ls6 cam and would have built a race purpose car on the side. With the amount of money I put into the h/c/i, I could have bought a high mileage ls1 camaro.
Modding a car can be psychologically torturing at times. "What's that noise?". "Did I install that part right?". "Why does the car feel sluggish today"?
When the car is stock, you never worry about any of that **** lol. I feel like I would have enjoyed the car more if I stopped at 370 rwhp (I was heads and headers only for a short while).
