Thinking about getting my 2000 vert super charged (A&A Super Charger).
Currently has : CAI, ported throttle body, short tube headers, x-pipe and a cat back system.
I don't intend on racing it or taking it to a track. Just want to 'step on it" every once in awhile; maybe a couple of time a day when applicable.
Can I get away with the stand clutch. Vert has 17,000 miles on the odometer.
My stock clutch lasted 2 summers after installing the SC on my LS1...I
don't track/race it, just have some fun with it as a weekend cruiser...
I just had an RPS twin disc installed and love it....
I've had a supercharger on my car with the stock clutch for about a year now. So far it is holding up. I don't drag the car and it is driven normally, although I occasionally " get on it". Certainly, the stock clutch was never designed to handle the power of a supercharged motor and will eventually need to be replaced. How long it lasts will depend upon how hard the car is driven. My 2 cents.
