Help needed with 3rd brakelight problem on 90 vert.
Failed NJ inspection last week due to the third brakelight being out. I remember reading something on this topic months ago, so I hope someone can help me out. The bulb and socket are OK. I'm getting 12 volts to the base of the bulb & the socket has a good ground. I verifed this by removing the socket assembly and tested with a battery. The problem seems to be current related. Any advise regarding this issue is most appreciated.

Hi there,
I would check to see if there is not high resisitance somewhere in the grounding circuit.
You should only have 12 volts when you depress the pedal.
I would go here first.
