Default budget drag pack question

I've been reading post after post after doing a search and to be honest I'm kind of overwhelmed with all the choices. My plan is to have a set of drag wheels/tires (front/back) to put on when I go bracket racing. My track is only about an hour away and it's all nice four-lane so that's not an issue. Here is where I'm at so far as well as my questions:

1. I'll buy a set of GTO spares for the front with the M&H tires that everyone runs.

QUESTION: Where do you buy a 1.5" SAFE spacers that will compensate for the different bolt patterns between the GTO wheel and C5 wheel?

2. For the rear I originally hoped to buy a stock set of non-polished 18" thin spokes and powder coat them the same color as the fronts running a Nitto 18" DR. But ... 18" thin spokes are hard to come by and the 18" DRs are EXPENSIVE!

QUESTION: What is the best cheap alternative to run in the rear for a wheel that will somewhat match the GTO fronts and that I can easily find? Also, what size tire would I need to match the height on the front and keep from burning up the differential? A size suggestion would be nice.

I'm hoping by going to a 17" or 16" wheel that I'll have better choices for tires. I've run Hoosier DOT drag radials in the past with good luck (on another car with 15" wheels) and really like those.

Final question: if a 16" wheel is suggested what needs to be done for fitment issues?

Thanks for all the help. I know this has been covered in the past but frankly I'm lost reading all the posts and am overwhelmed with information.
